A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO APA ENGINEERING FOR BUILDING INSPECTION
SERVICES FOR THE LYNWOOD SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER AT ITS PROPOSED
HOURLY RATE, NOT TO EXCEED $45,000, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Senior Citizen Center Building Construction Project is
funded by the Lynwood Utility Authority (LUA); and
WHEREAS, the project is currently under construction and requires continuous
daily inspection; and
WHEREAS, staff has requested hourly rate proposals from several consultants
to provide building inspection services for the Lynwood Senior Citizen Center; and
WHEREAS, three (3) proposals were received and are as follows:

Willdan & Associates
Miyamoto International
Hourlv Rate
$85/hour .. -
$95/hour
$120-$150/hour
APA Engineering is qualified to perform the inspection service based on the
hourly rate of $85/hour; and
WHEREAS, APA Engineering is willing to provide building inspection services
based on its proposed hourly rate; and
r"', WHEREAS, The service cost is not to exceed $45,000 in total.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the City of Lynwood awards a contract to APA Engineering for
its inspection services to assist staff during the construction of the Senior Citizen
Project.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to execute the agreement.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 16th day of May 2006.
