Wayne Neddermeyer - Mayor in Chair Priscilla Arens - Clerk All members present The minutes of the meeting of April 1, 1969 read. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to approve the°minutes as read. Seconded by Raymond Bosch Motion carried. The minutes of the special meeting of April 7, 1969 read. Moved by Arthur Theis to approve the minutes as read. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of April 21, 1969 read. Mr. Cochran of the Hennepin County Park Reserve District presented the contract for policing the Baker Park. Moved by Raymond Bosch that the Council approve the contract of this date with the Hennepin County Reserve District for patrolling the Park. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Dr. De$eker appeared with regard to a home. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to give Dr. Dedeker a building permit for a home on the NEiSE4 Section 14, Town4hip 118 North, Range 23 with the stipulation that the property consist of five acres. Seconded by Raymond Bosch. Motion carried. Hearing for rezoning the property for nursing home property from RI to RC at the junction of #101 and #55• Moved by Raymond Bosch to rezone the following: The South 578 feet of Lot 25, Auditor's Subdivision #241, Hennepin County, from RA or RI to RC. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. Larry and Bill Reiser, Jr. appeared with regard to moving homes in to the Billage. Moved by Raymond Bosch that we authorize the Village Attorney to draw up an ordinance deleting paragraph B of Section #29 of the building and construction code for the Village of Medina. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to give preliminary approval to the Wilfred Cavanaugh property in the NW corner of the property purchased from Matt Leuer, according to the preliminary plat submitted. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. Moved by Raymond Bosch for the adoption of the resolution to authorize Gordon Coffin to survey the property on which the well site will be. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter Motion carried. 48 A petition of Mrs. Fleming for water -and sewer north of Highway #55 on #116. Moved by Raymond Bosch to authorize the Village Engineer to prepare a memorandum or letter of cost of line for sewer and water on #116. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter Motion carried. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to accept the Fleming petition for water and sewer. Seconded by Raymond Bosch Motion carried. Ken Wahl appeared as representative of the Elk River Cooperative. Moved by Raymond Bosch to set up a special meeting for Tuesday, May 20th at 7:30 P. M. with the Elk River Cooperative. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. The Council went over the audit report. Moved by Arthur Theis to accept the audit report of December 31, 1968 by certified accountants, Strand and Roe. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter Motion carried. Moved by Raymond Bosch to give a cigarette license to Gregory Dubay. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to grant an off -sale intoxicating liquor license to M. Mills discussed the Hennepin County Aid to Municipalities. Moved by Rayburn Anderson to adopt a resolution certifying Willow Drive (known as Medina Road #87) from the southern Village limit to Co. Rd. 24 on the north; Parkview Drive from Co. Rd. 24 to Hamel Rd; Holy Name Drive from Co. 24 to Medina Rd.; Medina Rd. from Holy Name drive to Hunter Drive; Hunter Drive from Medina Rd. to Hamel Rd; Hamel Rd. from Hunter Drive to Pinto Drive; Pinto Drive from Hamel Rd. to #55; Hamel Rd. from Hunter Dr. to Sioux Drive; Sioux Drive from Hamel Road to #55; Ardmore Ave. from #19 to Pine St; Pine St. from Ardmore to Lakeshore Ave; Lake Shore Ave. from Pine St. to Walnut St; and Walnut St. from Lakeshore to Cedar Ave.; Cedar Ave. from W.nut St. to Maple St.; Maple St. from Cedar Ave. to #19 to be certified for Hennepin County Aid to municipalities. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. Anne Dorweiler discussed the price for codingand platting. Moved by Arthur Theis that Anne Dorweiler be authorized to spend money to print the present platting and zoning. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter Motion carried. 150 John Mickman appeared with regard to moving the priest house from Hamel and presented a plat of bis property on Lake Ardmore. He was advised to go back to the 14Anning Commission Madlyn Senescal appeareditth regard to moving out a mobile home for temporary use. Moved by Harold Winterhalter that we grant Madlyn Senescal a permit for a mobile home for a three month period with the right to another three month extension. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Duane Smith appeared, with regard to moving a home to the property which he has purchased from Hilly Kauth. Moved by Rayburn Anderson that we authorize the building inspector *o give Duane Smith a building permit for moving house on his property and the house can be moved according to existing condition of roads, with compliance with the Village code. Seconded by Arthur Theis. Motion carried. Arthur Theis announced a Welfare meeting on May 8th at Hopkins. He asked for a back stop, basketball net and dirt for the Medina lYiorningside Park. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to authorize Arthur Theis to obtain a backstop, basketball net and black dirt for the Medina-Morningside Park, not to exceed the amount of $300.00. Seconded by Raymond Bosch Motion carried. Announcement of meeting of the Board of Review on June 19th. Moved by Raymond Bosch to set the time of the Board of Review Meeting of June 19th at 7:00 P. M. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson. Motion carried. Two letters from the Northern States Power Company with regard to new street lights and vacation of roads were read. A letter from from Ray Hoosier, weed inspecyor, with regard to the weed situation. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to offer a resolution for payments for easements for private driveway North of Highway #55 which is an extension of the sewer from C. O. Dorweiler et al at the rate of 500 per lineal per foot and the Village Attorney will submit a letter to the Clerk with the exact figures and the Clerk is authorized to draw a check from the Village funds at the rate of 50¢ per lineal foot. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. boved by Raymond Bosch to authorize the police patrolman to purchase a shot gun and also a typewriter. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried. Moved by Arthur Theis to pay the bills: pay roll in the amount of $4068.18 and order oheckm in the amount of $70,875.14. Seconded by Harold Winterhalter Motion carried. Moved by Harold Winterhalter to donate $25.00 to the County Fair Board. Seconded by Arthur Theis Motion carried. Moved by Raymond Bosch to grant Larry Reiser and Bill Reiser, Jr. permission to move their houses over Village roads. Seconded by Rayburn Anderson Motion carried.
