NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
You are invited to the Plainfield Police Department’s National Night Out which is an anti-crime and
anti-drug effort aimed at providing a greater sense of awareness to area residents through neighborhood spirit
and police community partnerships.
Plainfield Police Department’s National Night Out will be held a little differently this year due to the
pandemic on October 6th, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The event will include a village wide scavenger hunt
for small groups, a goal of filling our transport van with food donations for the Plainfield Food Pantry, and a
way for residents to show their support for law enforcement online.
Pick up your scavenger hunt hints at the Plainfield Police Department starting at 5:00 PM. The first 200
people who complete the village wide scavenger hunt will receive a blue light, that was donated by target, to put
up on your house and show your support for law enforcement by posting a photo of your blue light to our
Facebook page.
Come out and join in the fun or post your pictures of your blue light, blue line flags or sidewalk art in a
show of partnership with the Police Department for this one night.
For more information about this event please contact Officer Brett Keag (815) 267-7207.
