A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR CITY
PROSECUTOR SERVICES FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood sometimes requires legal and, prosecutor
services for the Code Enforcement Division to gain property compliance and remedy
code violations; and
WHEREAS, on May 30, 2006 the City Council authorized staff to issue a
Request for Proposal for City Prosecutor services for Code Enforcement; and
WHEREAS, it is common practice for cities to use these services; and

WHEREAS, City Prosecutor services satisfy Community Development Block
Grant requirements, ensure the most effective and efficient legal services for Code
Enforcement cases, and protects the public health, safety and general welfare of
persons residing and working in the City of Lynwood.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That staff is authorized and directed to send out the Request for
Proposals for City Prosecutor services.
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
