THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FEBRUARY 5, 2009
The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M.,
Thursday, February 5, 2009, in the Community Room at the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th
Street, Richmond, Indiana. In attendance were Board Members Vicki Robinson, Dian Lawson
and Mary Jo Flood. Also attending were Assistant City Attorney Kim Vessels and Jared Flood.
The following business was conducted:
CALL TO ORDER
Robinson called the meeting to order and noted for the minutes that all board members and legal
counsel were present.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Robinson made a request to the board to approve the minutes for the January 29, 2009 meeting.
Lawson made a motion to approve with a second by Flood. The motion was unanimously
passed.
CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT
Robinson made a request to the board to approve the claims for payment for February 6, 2009 in
the amount of $129,393.04. She explained of that total $35,747.63 was paid to 9 -1 -1 for the
City's portion of salaries and benefits, $27,178.00 was paid to Corporate Health for physicals for
the Fire Department and $23,171.06 was paid to Hoosier Fire Equipment for the equipment for
the new fire truck. Flood made a motion to approve with a second by Lawson. The motion was
unanimously passed.
NEW RESIDENTIAL HANDICAPPED PARKING SIGNS
A. Robinson made a request to the board that was submitted by Captain Terry Hopkins
for the approval of a new Residential Handicapped Parking sign at 301 SW 3rd Street
for Ms. Dorothy Traylor. Lawson made a motion to approve with a second by Flood.
The motion was unanimously passed.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed unanimously. The
meeting was adjourned.
