RESOLUTION NO. 82-3 ADOPTED January 13, 1982
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR A TUSCARORA CREEK FEASIBILITY
STUDY AND MAKING AN APPROPRIATION
WHEREAS, On October 14, 1981Council in Resolution No. 81-134 accepted the
offer of Virginia Village Associates to establish an escrow account in the
amount of $21,000 with the town for future work related to Tuscarora Creek in
return for the town's waiver of the requirement for the developer of part of
Parcel M, Section 1, Virginia Village to construct channel improvements to
Tuscarora Creek; and
WHEREAS, Council in Resolution No. 81-134 directed the Manager to secure
engineering consulting services to review the existing plan for channel improve-
ments to Tuscarora Creek and study and design alternatives at a cost not to exceed
$5,000; such funds for the review and design to be provided by the escrow account
established by Virginia Village Associates; and
WHEREAS, an appropriation was made from the General Fund to Account No.
3401.300 in the amount of $5,000.
NOW, THEREFORE the Manager is authorized and directedto enter into a
contract with PRC Toups Corporation of McLean, Virginia for consultant services
for a Tuscarora Creek Feasibility Study as outlined in their proposal dated
December 30, 1981 at a cost not to exceed $7,394.
SECTION II. A supplemental appropriation is made from the General Fund to
Account No. 3401.300 in the amount of $2,394.
