APPROVING THE ANNEXATION TO SAD CITY OF THAT CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS "F NNi+XATI 00N NO. 9."
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE:
SECTION I. That the City Council of the City of Temple
City did heretofore adopt Resolution No. 65 -529 entitled "A
Resolution of the City Council of the City of Temple City,
Instituting Proceedings and Giving Notice of the Proposed Annex-
ation of Certain Contiguous Territory Designated as Annexation
No. 9," which Resolution recited that the proceedings for the
annexation of the territory hereinafter described were initiated
on the said Council's own motion; stated that the owners of all
of the land in said territory filed with the legislative body
their written petition and consent to such annexation; stated
the reasons for which the said Council desires to annex said
territory; recited that the proposal for the annexation of
said territory to the City of fepie City has been approved by
the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Los
Angeles pursuant to Section 54775 at seq. of the California
Government Code and has been favorably reported upon to the
proponents by the Boundary Commission of the County of Los
Angeles as required by Section 35002 of said Government Code;
specifically described the boundaries of the territory sought
to be annexed to said City and fixed October 19, 1965, at the
hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Temple
City City Hall as the day, hour and place when and where said
City Council would hear protests made against said annexation.
SECTION 2. That at said time and place of hearing, said
City Council found and determined that the publication of afore-
said Resolution has been made at the times and in the manner
required by Section 35310.1 of the Government Code of the State
of California; that the territory thus proposed to be annexed
was and is uninhabited and is contiguous to the City of Temple
City; that no protest was made by the owners of property within

said territory or by owners of property within the City of
Temple City but outside of said territory; and that the annex-
ation of said territory is authorized by the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939.
SECTION 3. That under and pursuant to and in accordance
with the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory
Act of 1939, and particularly Section 35310.1 of the California
Government Code, the annexation to the City of Temple City of
that certain uninhabited territory contiguous to said City as
described and designated in aforesaid Resolution be and the
same is hereby ratified, confirmed and approved. That a specific
description of the boundaries of said territory is as follows:
That parcel of land in the County of Los Angeles, State
of California included within the following described boundary:
Beginning at the Intersection of the easterly prolongation.
of the southerly line of Empere Avenue (60 feet wide) as shown
on Map of Tract No. 15813 reec_r_ud in Book 413, p,:.ges 3 and 4
of Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said County
with the southerly prolongation of the westerly line of Rosemead
Boulevard (100 feet wide) as shown on said map, said Intersection
being a point in the westerly boundary of the City of Temple
City as the same existed on July 1, 1965; thence northerly along
said boundary to the easterly prolongation of the southerly line
of Lot 7 said tract, said southerly line having a bearing of
N 75` 14' 04" E and a length of 84.97 feet and also being in
the northerly line of Callita Street as shown on said map; thence
westerly along said last mentioned prolongation and said northerly
line of Callita Street to the northerly prolongation of the
westerly line of Lot 8, said tract; thence southerly in a direct
line to the southwesterly corner of said Lot 8; thence westerly
along the southerly Line of Lots 9 and 10 of said tract to the
westerly line of Lot 59, Sunny Slope Vineyard Subdivision No. 1
as shown on map recorded in Bock. 10, page 112 of said Maps;
thence southerly along said last mentioned westerly line and
its southerly prolongation to said southerly line of Emperor
Avenue; thence easterly in a direct line to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect upon its
adoption and the City Clerk shall forthwith make and certify
under the seal of ceid City of Temple City and transmit to the
Secretary of State of the State of California a copy of this
Resolution giving the date of its passage.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk. shall certify to the adoption
of this Resolution and shall cau. ae a copy hereof to be forwarded
