Town Solicits Vacant Seat on Leesburg Town Council
Applications are due on or before Monday, June 15, 2020.
Leesburg, VA (May 27, 2020) – The Town of Leesburg is soliciting resumes and letters of
interest to appoint a new member to the Leesburg Town Council following the resignation of
Council Member Joshua Thiel. The appointed member will serve the unexpired portion of
Thiel’s term, which expires on December 31, 2020.
Interested town residents should submit a letter of interest and professional resume addressed
to the Clerk of Council no later than 5 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020. All information must be
received by the due date in order to be considered by council during their June 22 work session.
A potential appointment could take place as early as the June 23 council meeting.
All materials should mailed to the Town of Leesburg, 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia
20176 or emailed to Clerk of Council Eileen Boeing at eboeing@leesburgva.gov.
The Town Council meets the second and fourth Monday and Tuesday of each month in the
Town Hall Council Chamber located on the second floor of 25 West Market Street in Leesburg.
