Town of Leesburg Closes Thomas Balch Library, Ida Lee Park
Recreation Center, and Ida Lee Tennis Center
An updated list of all Town facility closures is available on the Town website at
www.leesburgva.gov/closures.
Leesburg, VA (March 15, 2020) – The Town of Leesburg announced this evening that the
Thomas Balch Library, the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center, and Ida Lee Tennis Center will be
closed until further notice.
The closures are taking place in accordance with new guidelines from the Centers for Disease
Control (CDC) recommending no gatherings with more than 50 people, as well as Governor
Northam’s direction to limit gatherings of more than 100 attendees. Town staff will reevaluate
the closures by the end of next week.
Further changes to the Town’s programs, activities, and services will be posted on the Town
website at www.leesburgva.gov/closures.
