Bulk Item Collection in Town of Leesburg Suspended
Future changes to solid waste disposal may be necessary.
Leesburg, VA (March 20, 2020) – Due to concerns over coronavirus exposure risks to their
employees, Patriot Disposal notified town officials today that they have suspended bulk item
collection in the Town of Leesburg, effective immediately. This suspension applies only to
collection of oversized items such as furniture and appliances, normally collected by request
only. Regular household trash and recycling collection is not affected.
Town officials are in discussion with Patriot regarding possible future changes to solid waste
collections and contingency plans to ensure that essential services continue.
