Leesburg Town Council Sets Schedule for Fiscal Year 2021
Budget Review and Adoption
Tax rate and budget adoption scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, 2020.
Leesburg, VA (February 12, 2020) – Last night, Leesburg Town Manager Kaj Dentler presented
his proposed Fiscal Year 2021 Budget to the Town Council. Over the next month, the Council
will hold three work sessions to review and discuss the proposed budget as well as the revised
proposed Fiscal Year 2020-2025 Capital Improvements Program.
In addition, the Council will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget and a separate public
hearing on the tax rate. All work sessions and public hearings will be held in the Council
Chamber on the second floor of Town Hall (25 West Market Street) and begin at 7:00 p.m.
Monday, February 24 – Budget Work Session
Monday, March 9 – Budget Work Session
Tuesday, March 10 – Budget Public Hearing
Monday, March 23 – Budget Work Session
Tuesday, March 24 – Tax Rate Public Hearing; Budget and Tax Rate Adoption
The public is welcome to attend the work sessions and public hearings, which will be broadcast
on the Town’s local government access channel (Xfinity Channel 67 and FiOS Channel 35) and
streamed live on the Town website (www.leesburgva.gov/webcasts). A copy of the proposed
budget document is available on the Town website at www.leesburgva.gov/budget.
