Leesburg Commission on Public Art Seeks Artists for New
Installation of Sculptures in Raflo Park
The submission deadline is Friday, February 7, 2020. Five sculptures will be
selected.
Leesburg, VA (January 3, 2019) – The Leesburg
Commission on Public Arts (COPA) invites submissions for
ArtsPARKs, an outdoor sculpture garden in Raflo Park.
Five works of art will be selected for a 2-year installation
period, which will begin in June 2020 and run through
June 2022.
Sculptures will be displayed along the paved walkway
located in Raflo Park along Harrison Street in downtown
Leesburg. Each piece must be available for the entire
display period and be for sale. Artists or artist teams will
receive an honorarium of $1,000 per sculpture. The
submission deadline will be Friday, February 7, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
An advisory panel of three regional artists will review the submissions and select the five
finalists. Artists will be notified by March 13, 2020. Once installed, sculptures will be unveiled
during a ceremony in early summer. For complete submission guidelines and instructions, visit

ArtsPARKs is a collaboration between the Leesburg Commission on Public Art and the Friends of
Leesburg Public Arts, made possible by generous donations from the Lansdowne Development
