Art Exhibit to Feature Work by Local High School Students
An opening reception will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020.
Leesburg, VA (January 31, 2020) – The Leesburg Commission
on Public Art (COPA) is pleased to announce a new art display
that will be available for viewing on the second floor at
Leesburg Town Hall (25 West Market Street) beginning Friday,
January 31, 2020.
The art exhibit will feature digital art, ink drawings, mixed
media, and paintings created by students of art teacher Helene
King and Principal Stacie Ahrens-Mininberg at Douglass High
School, in Leesburg.
An opening reception is planned during Leesburg First Friday
on February 7, from 6 to 7 p.m. The exhibit will be on display
through March 2020, which can be viewed during normal
business hours at Leesburg’s Town Hall.
The second floor exhibit hall is dedicated to rotating displays of art works by Loudoun County
Public School students. Those interested in having their work considered for a future exhibit
should contact Leah Kosin, staff liaison to the Commission on Public Art, at
lkosin@leesburgva.gov.
