HomeMy Public PortalAbout1982_03_24_R035 Commenting on Leesburg South Rezoning TOWN OF LEESBURG IN LOUDOUN COUNTY, VIRGINIA PRESENTED March 24~ 1982 RESOLUTION NO. 82-35 ADOPTED March 24~ 1982 A RESOLUTION: COMMENTING ON THE PROPOSED LEESBURG SOUTH REZONING WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Department of Planning, Zoning and Community De- velopment referred ZMAP #314, Leesburg South, to the Town of Leesburg for comment: THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: .... should . SECTION I. The rezoning appAlca=lon/De approvea subject to the following conditions: 1. The applicant proffer out the following uses from the PD-CH district: a. Ail auto sales and service uses b. Filling stations c. Laundromats 2. The applicant proffer out commercial uses in those areas intended for office use or rezone proposed office areas to PD-OP. 3.All access to Route 15 be public access. 4. The applicant modify the plan to provide higher density, cluster develop- ment (at the south end of the property) in conformance with the proposed town and county plans to serve as a buffer between the existing large lot development and the proposed multi-family development. 5. The applicant provide an adequate buffer between the proposed commercial development and the existing residential development and middle school along Route 621. 6. The applicant provide a permanent buffer along Route 15 by granting an open space easement. The easement should conform to the existing topo- graphy and include the area sloping toward Route 15. - 2- SECTION II. The Council's recommendations shall be transmitted to the Loudoun County Department of Planning, Zoning and Community Development. PASSED this 24th day of March , 1982. G.
