HomeMy Public PortalAbout1982_04_14_R043 TOWN OF LEESBURG IN LOUDOUN COUNTY, VIRGINIA PRESENTED April 14, 1982 RESOLUTION NO. 82-43 ADOPTED April 14, 1982 A RESOLUTION: ENDORSING ALLOCATION OF VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORTATION FUNDS FOR MARKET STREET RECONSTRUCTION FROM CATOCTIN CIRCLE TO THE EAST CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, the critically needed reconstruction of East Market Street from Catoctin Circle to the east corporate limits (Project 0007-253-102) has been deferred for over two years by revenue shortfalls; and WHEREAS, the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation has pre- viously allocated $685,000 toward the $1,385,000 project; and ~HEREAS, the proposed fiscal year 1983 Urban System Construction Program calls for an additional $300,000 allocation for the project: THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: The tenative allocation of $300,000 toward the reconStruction of East Market Street within the Town of Leesburg between Catoctin Circle and the east corporate limits is endorsed and recommended for adoption by the Vir- ginia Department of Highways and Transportation.
