A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING STAFF TO RELEASE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE
ROUTE STUDY FOR THE LYNWOOD TROLLEY BUS SYSTEM
WHEREAS, the Lynwood Trolley Bus System has been providing local
public transportation services to Lynwood residents with the operation of three fixed
route trolleys and one Blue Line trolley; and
WHEREAS, these services are provided through a contract with Lynwood
Trolley Company; and
WHEREAS, said contract is scheduled to expire on December 31, 2006
and a new contract needs to be in place by that time; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined that a trolley route study is necessary to
identify the route layout and number of trolleys needed for the new contract; and
WHEREAS, the City's purchasing guidelines require a request-for-
proposals process for this study.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1: That the City Council authorizes staff to send out a request for
proposals for the route study for the Lynwood Trolley Bus System.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
