RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
TO BECOME BROWNFIELD SHOWCASE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") has been a leader in
making effective use of "Brownfields"; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has the opportunity to receive technical assistance,
grants,expedited permits and approvals if designated as a "Brownfield Showcase
Community", which would assist in various development projects.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Borough Council
that the Borough's Director of Economic Development is hereby authorized to
submit an application to obtain "Brownfield Showcase Community" for the
Borough;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and Borough Clerk are
authorized to execute said application.
Adopted this 4th day of September, 1997
and certified as a true copy of the original
on September 5, 1997.
