A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE INTER-AGENCY COUNTYWIDE
SIGNAL PRIORITY MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU) BETWEEN THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD AND THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSIT
AUTHORITY (MTA)
WHEREAS, MTA has expanded the Metro Rapid Red Line Bus Service on the
Long Beach Boulevard Corridor that will operate through the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, this new service is of regional and local benefit to commuters; and
WHEREAS, operations of the Metro Rapid bus line require MTA to install
electronic equipment at various intersections and interfacing with the City's traffic
control devices; and
WHEREAS, for MTA to operate the Metro Rapid Red bus line service as
designed an MOU must be executed between the City and MTA.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,

proclaim, order and resolve as follows:

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Inter-Agency
Countywide Signal Priority Memorandum of .Understanding between the City of
Lynwood and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Rapid Transit Authority (MTA) in a
