Home My Public Portal About2020_07_28_079_Old Waterford Knolls Pump Station RehabilitationThe Town of Leesburg, Virginia RESOLUTION NO. 2020-079 PRESENTED: July 28, 2020 ADOPTED: July 28, 2020 A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A TASK ORDER FOR THE DESIGN OF THE OLD WATERFORD KNOLLS PUMP STATION REHABILITATION TO DEWBERRY IN THE AMOUNT OF $137,770 WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg ("the Town") owns and operates the Old Waterford Knolls wastewater pump station; and WHEREAS, Old Waterford Knolls Pump station was originally constructed in 1994 and is nearing the end of its useful life; and WHEREAS, a task order is needed to design rehabilitative improvements and upgrades to the pump station and bring it up to current standards; and WHEREAS, an engineering task order is a funded and approved project in the Fiscal Year 2021 budget; and WHEREAS, the estimated contract proposal for the Old Waterford Knolls Pump Station rehabilitation task is $137,770; and WHEREAS, The Town of Leesburg has an existing contract for Comprehensive Engineering, Architectural, Surveying and Related Services with Dewberry; and WHEREAS, under the terms of the Comprehensive Engineering, Architectural, Surveying and Related Services projects in excess of $100,000 must be approved by Town Council; and WHEREAS, Dewberry has provided a task order proposal in the amount of $137,770 for the design of the Old Waterford Knolls Pump Station Rehabilitation; and THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: -2— A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A TASK ORDER FOR THE DESIGN OF THE OLD WATERFORD KNOLLS PUMP STATION REHABILITATION TO DEWBERRY IN THE AMOUNT OF $137,770 The Town Manager is authorized to execute a task order under the existing Comprehensive Engineering, Architectural, Surveying and Related Services contract with Dewberry, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, in the amount of $137,770 for the design of the Old Waterford Knolls Pump Station Rehabilitation.
