RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY AND WLC ARCHITECTS, INC. TO PREPARE A FEASIBILITY
AND NEEDS ASSESSMENT STUDY TO ESTABLISH A PUBLIC
SAFETY/POLICE FACILITY WITHIN THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
`~ WHEREAS, on April 4, 2006, the City Council authorized staff to release an RFP
to prepare a feasibility and needs assessment study to establish a public safety/police
_. facility within the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, on June 1, 2006 the City received eleven (11) proposals; and
WHEREAS, WLC Architects was selected by the Selection Panel as the top
ranking firm based on panelists' evaluation; and
WHEREAS, WLC Architects possesses the expertise and skill to provide the
services set forth in scope of services in the RFP.
NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
determine, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1:
That the Mayor is authorized to execute an Agreement approved as to form by
the City Attorney in an amount not to exceed $64,810 between the City and WLC
Architects to prepare a feasibility and needs assessment study to establish a public
safety/police facility within the City of Lynwood.
Section 2:
That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 5`h day of September 2006.
