McCarty Street AUG 3 1 2015 % Dan Davis Jefferson City, Mo. 65101 OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK CITY OF JEFFERSON Subject: IP Appeal Special Tax Bill 1649 Location 2205 Stone Hill Road I am writing to appeal the Special Tax Bill #16469 that we received about our lot on Stone Hill Road for mowing and maintenance. We have owned this lot for several years and have maintained the tall grass each year. This work is done by a private individual that receives compensation for their services. This year however with the heavy spring/summer rainfalls that occurred throughout the months of June and July, our individual could not provide the work due to the abnormal rainy season. We were contacted about having the lot mowed I believe in early June and this information was given to our individual to be completed within the time frame but was late due to amount of the rainy weather. Our individual did respond to mow the lot once there was a time of non-rain activity, upon arrival the lot was found to be mowed prior to his arrival. I feel there should have been some notification about if/when the lot would be mowed, since we have an annual contract already in the process of having this done. Therefore we have had to provide service to our individual for time and fuel as well as now having to pay twice the amount we normally pay for this service by a private individual. Your consideration in this matter is appreciated. I think you can review past records and ascertain that this has not happened in the past, we strive to keep the lot in good order since it has been for sale for a number of years.
