ORDINANCE NO. I
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING A STORMWATER EASEMENT IN LOT 38 OF THE TRAILS OF KAUFFMAN
HILLS, SECTION 3.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the
owners of land at Lot 38 of The Trails of Kauffman Hills, Section in the City, have ,
petitioned the City Council to vacate a stormwater easement; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the
citizens of the City to discontinue the stormwater easement for public use as
described in Section 1 of this Ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it necessary,
reasonable, and proper to discontinue as a stormwater easement the area described in Lot 38
in The Trails of Kaufman Hills, Section 3 and forever vacate the following described stormwater
easement in said City:

Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property is
hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor and the
Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments required to confirm
the reversionary rights of the owners of property abutting on the area vacated, as described in
Section 1 of this ordinance, in the right of way vacated.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage.

A stormwater easement on Tract 38A of the Trails of Kauffman Hills, Section 3 , in the City of
Jefferson City, Cole County Missouri; recorded in Book B, page 355 at the Cole County Recorder's
office , Cole County, Missouri ; more particularly describe d as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of said Tract 38A; thence North 67 deg rees 51 minutes 35
seconds East (N6r51 '35 "E), 9.93 feet to the POINT O F BEGINNING of this Stormwater Drainage
Easement Description ; thence North 19 degrees 02 minutes 47 seconds West (N19 °02'47"W), 15.00
feet on the westerly line of said stormwater drainage ease ment; thence North 70 deg rees 57 minutes
13 s econds East (N70 °57'13"E), 164.74 feet on the northerly line of said stormwater drainage
easement; thence South 36 deg ree s 47 minutes 27 seconds East (S36°47'27"E), 15 .7 5 feet on the
easterly line of said stormwater drainage easement; thence South 70 degrees 57 minutes 13
seconds West (S70°57'13"W), 169.54 feet on the southe rly line of said stormwater drainage
easement and the POINT OF BEGINNING of this description .
Containing 2 ,507.60 square feet (less than 0.06 acres), more or less , in a trapezoidal shape.
