AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AMENDING THE 2015-2016
BUDGET OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, BY APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL
FUNDS WITHIN THE PARK FUND.
WHEREAS, recent inspections revealed badly deteriorated conditions with the lighting systems
at Scott and Byrd Fields which pose a safety hazard to the public, and;
WHEREAS, replacement of the lighting systems prior to the start of 2016 sports programs is
necessary to avoid disruption of service to the public, and;
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has created an infrastructure
Renewal/Replacement Reserve within the Park Fund Balance to specifically
address such unanticipated infrastructure failures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The 2015-16 budget is hereby amended by supplementally appropriating
$300,000.00 within the Park Fund as indicated on Exhibit A attached hereto.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its
passage and approval.
