A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING
TRAFFIC COMMISSION REQUEST TO STATE DIVISION
OF HIGHWAYS FOR APPROVAL OF RED CURB MARKINGS
ADJACENT TO FIRE HYDRANTS ON ROSEMEAD BOULEVARD
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City
has received a recommendation from the Traffic Commission of the
City of Temple City recommending the placement of red curb mark-
ings adjacent to fire hydrants on Rosemead Boulevard within the
City limits in order to provide parking protection adjacent to
said fire hydrants, and
WHEREAS, a plan has been provided by the Traffic En-
gineer of the City of Temple City so indicating that red curb
marking would provide the necessary protection for emergency fire
equipment to utilize curb space; and
WHEREAS, such resolution shall cease to be operative
six months after by the City Council of written notice of the
withdrawal of approval of the Department of Public Works;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in accordance with
Section 2.2506 of the Vehicle Code the City Council of the City of
Temple City does hereby submit to the Department of Public Works
Division of Highways said attached plan for approval and issuance
of permit for installation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 7th day of December, 1965, by
the following vote:
