A RESOLUTION: INITIATING AN AMENDMENT OF THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP AND REFERRING IT
TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR PUBLIC HEARING UNDER CHAPTER 11,
TITLE 15.1 OF THE CODE OF VIRGINIA, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, land uses in the South Harrison Street neighborhood are often in-
compatible with one another and inconsistent with the underlying zoning district
and comprehensive plan; and
WHEREAS, the town is investing 1.35 million dollars to upgrade the neighbor-
hood;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia, as
follows:
An amendment for the revision of the zoning district map in the South
Harrison Street neighborhood as shown on the attached drawings from M-1 to B-2
and R-2 is initiated and referred to the Planning Commission for public hearing
and recommendation under Chapter 11, Title 15.1 of the 1950 Code of Virginia,
as amended.
