Motion by Nielsen second by Van Heiden to approve the minutes from the September meeting. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman, second by Van Hauen to approve the Treasurer’s Report for Septmeber. Karen Mennega, Library Director, presented a Library Project update. November 14th is the tentative date for the dedication ceremony. Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to approve Resolution 10-2009 a resolution removing the street light in front of the New Library. Roll call of votes, all ayes, carried. Motion by Van Heiden second by Buseman approve Ordinance 10-2009 an ordinance amending the Code of Ordinances so as to expand upon the membership in the Fire Department. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Buseman to suspend the rules and pass Ordinance 10-2009 upon the first reading. Roll call of votes. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Buseman to have Bob’s Farm Center spray the City parks and sewer plant grounds. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Hauen second by Nielsen to approve quote from Terry Babcock to replace the furnace and air conditioner at the Old Library. All ayes, carried. Motion by Lindaman second by Buseman to accept bid of $5,000.00 from Greg Riebkes for the purchase of the City property adjacent to the swimming pool with the condition that Greg pay for half the cost of a survey. After survey is complete the City will move forward with the procedures for sale of City property. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Lindaman to appoint Wendy Lage to the Grundy County Development Alliance Board. All ayes, carried. Motion by Van Buseman second by Van Heiden to approve amended building permit for Jerome Reeves. All ayes, carried. Motion by Nielsen second by Buseman to approve building permit for Roland Van Deest. All ayes, carried. Motion to adjourn Van Heiden, second by Buseman. All ayes, carried. Wendy Lage, City Clerk
