PASSED this 9th day of ATTE ST: Clerk of Co,ell February ? , 1~, Town of Leesburg RESOLUTION NO. 83-23 A RESOLUTION: APPROVING A COMMISSION PERMIT WHEREAS, Section 15.1-456 of the Code of Virginia requires approval by a local planning commission and governing body for construction, establishment or authorization of any street, park or other public area, public building or public structure; and WHEREAS, the County of Loudoun requested approval of the use of 42 Edwards Ferry Road as a family care home for the mentally retarded and 34 Edwards Ferry Road for use as a County Office; and WHEREAS, the Leesburg Planning Commission on January 20, 1983 determined that the general location, character and extent of the property and its proposed use is substantially in accord with the adopted Comprehensive Plan as follows: The future land use Map shows the property to be in a central business district. The Plan shows that mixed uses are preferred. One of the goals for housing is to provide a mix of balanced housing types. The plan recommends that the town assist the county in whatever way possible to meet its space needs in downtown Leesburg. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: The application of the County of Loudoun for use at 42 Edwards Ferry Road as a family care home for the mentally retarded and 34 Edwards Ferry Road for use
