A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING TERMS
ENGAGEMENT FROM MOSS, LEVY & HARTZHEIM TO PERFORM A 5-
YEAR REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS AUDIT AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS TO COVER COST OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, at its October 5, 2004 meeting, the City Council directed staff to
negotiate the cost for a real estate audit with City Auditor's, Moss, Levy & Hartzheim;
and
.WHEREAS, such an audit involves operations and transactions occurring both in
the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency and the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, the firm has submitted a revised engagement letter, which outlines
the proposed scope of service and cost for services; and
WHEREAS, the scope of service will include a review of real estate transactions,
report on these transactions, and preparing a findings and recommendations report; and
WHEREAS, Moss, Levy & Hartzheim will provide the service for a gross fee
(including expenses) not to exceed $21,950. The fees will be at the firm's standard hourly
rates plus out-of-pocket costs.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Lynwood does hereby find, order, and resolve
as follows:
Section 1. That the terms and cost of service outlined in the engagement letter by
Moss, Levy & Hartzheim is hereby approved.
Section 2. That the Interim City Manager or his designee is authorized to amend
the budget by appropriating the following funds to cover cost of service:
Expenditures:
O l -4131-4253 $10,975
Section 3. That the Interim City Manager of the City of Lynwood is hereby
authorized to execute the service agreement.
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
