REQUESTING THE STATE OF VIRGINIA TO HONOR LEESBURG'S HUD-ISSUED
MULTI-YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
WHEREAS, the Commonwealth of Virginia has responsibility for administering
the small cities community development block grant program; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg was awarded a community development block grant
on June 21, 1981 on a three-year basis--1981 $450,000; 1982~ $450,000; and 1983
$450,000--for the South Harrison Street Community Development project; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg is actively implementing this project:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The CoF~onwealth of Virginia is requested to honor the HUD multi-year fund-
ing commitment and allocate $450,000 for program year three as shown in this
resolution.
