RESOLUTION NO. 66516
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, OBJECTING
TO THE SALE BY THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR OF
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, PURSUANT TO DIVISION
1, PART 6, CHAPTER 7, OF THE REVENUE AND
TAXATION CODE, ONE PARCEL OF PROPERTY WITHIN
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AND AGAINST WHICH
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY LEVIED TAXES
WHEREAS, the following parcel of real property situated
within the City of Temple City, to wit:
Parcel No. 526 Tract No.Santa Anita Land Co.
WHEREAS, said parcel of real property has heretofore
been deeded to the State of California for delinquent taxes; and
said deed to the State for taxes includes taxes levied by the City
of Temple City, the taxes of which City are collected by County
officers; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City has been notified by
the County Tax Collector of Los Angeles County that he has been
authorized by the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County to
sell said parcel of property in accordance with Division 1, Part 6,
Chapter 7 of the Revenue and Taxation Code; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City of Temple City
to purchase, pursuant to the Revenue and Taxation Code, said parcel
of property for municipa purpose to wit: street purposes, and
it would be detrimental to the interests of the City to permit the
County Tax Collector to hold such sale as to said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES RESOLVE AND DETERMINE AS FOLLOWS:
That the City of Temple City, a taxing agency, does
hereby object to the sale of the above described parcel of real
property by the County Tax Collector of Los Angeles County in ac-
cordance with Division 1, Part 6, Chapter 7 of the Revenue and
Taxation Code,
The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to
enter into a contract with the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County for the purchase by the City of Temple City for said muni-
cipal purposes of the parcel of real property herein described.

A G R E E M E N T
AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, OF THE STATE'S
TITLE TO CERTAIN LANDS WITHIN SAID CITY AS
PROVIDED BY DIVISION 1, PART 6, CHAPTER 8,
ARTICLES 1 AND 2, OF THE REVENUE AND TAXATION
CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
THIS AGREEMENT, made this �__ day of
196 , by and between the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los
Angeles, a municipality of the State of California, subject to the
approval of the State Controller of the State of California.
W I T N E S S E T H
THAT WHEREAS, there is situated in said City a certain parcel
of real property which has been tax deeded to the State for delin-
quent taxes and said City desires to acquire for public purposes,
to wit: street purposes
WHEREAS, such deed to the State for taxes includes taxes
levied by said City, the taxes of which are collected by County
Officers;
WHEREAS, the City has filed a written objection to the proposed
sale of said property in accordance with Section 3695.4 of the
Revenue and Taxation Code;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby mutually agreed as follows:
1. That as provided by Section 3800, Revenue and Taxation
Code, the cost of giving notice of this Agreement shall be paid by
said City;
2. That the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles
agrees to sell to said City the parcel of property hereinafter set
out in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and made a part hereof, which
shall not have been redeemed as provided in the Revenue and Taxatio.
Code, for the sum set out after said parcel of property and called
"County selling price ", and said City agrees to purchase the said
parcel of real property within days after this Agreement
becomes effective.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused their
respective names to be hereto subscribed and their respective seals
to be affixed by their respective officers thereunto duly authorizes.
