Present: Mayor, Thomas Anderson; Councilmembers, Wilfred Scherer, Robert Mitchell;
Clerk -Treasurer, Donna Roehl; Attorney, Ron BAtty; Financial Consultant,
Jeanne Frederick
Absent: Councilmembers, Anne Heideman, William Reiser
1. ADDITIONAL AGENDA ITEMS
Council agreed to discuss the following additional items: Hiring of Planning Consultant
for the Vo Tech School Project and Liquor License Fees.
2. VO TECH PLANNING CONSULTANT
Moved by Mitchell, seconded by Scherer to authorize the Planning Commission to hire a
Planning Consultant to review various items regarding the Vo Tech School's Project, at
a fee not to exceed $3000, with the understanding that Vo Tech will pay the fee or the
city will assume that they are withdrawing their application.
Motion declared carried
3. TAX INCREMENT FINANCING, PUBLIC HEARING, 5:40 P.M.
Purpose of the hearing was to consider a correction to the legal descriptions of the
Tax Increment Districts and to adopt a resolution regarding forwarding of the plan to
Hennepin County for review and certification.
Jeanne Frederick stated that County personnel had assured her that they would review
the materials as quickly as they were received.
Motion by Mitchell, seconded by Scherer to adopt Resolution 85-47, Approving a Modified
Tax Increment Financing Plan for TIF Districts Nos. 1-1 and 1-2.
Motion declared carried
4. LIQUOR LICENSE FEES
Donna Roehl asked if Council wished to set Liquor License fees at the same rate as 1984,
as fees had been increased at that time.
Moved by Scherer, seconded by Mitchell to set license fees for Liquor Licenses at same
rate as 1984-85.
Motion declared carried
Moved by Mitchell, seconded by Scherer to adjourn.
Motion declared carried
