A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH NOVEC FOR INSTALLATION OF
STREETLIGHTS ON THE SYCOLIN ROAD PHASE IV
WIDENING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Sycolin Road Phase IV Widening project is a funded Capital Project
which is financed through the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), Northern
Virginia Transportation Authority, Loudoun County and local funds; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg has received an estimate from NOVEC for the
installation of streetlights in the amount of$192,251.47; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Town's Procurement Policy, Town Council
authorization is required for the Town to enter into agreements that exceed$100,000; and
WHEREAS, the streetlight installation costs are within the existing approved budget
and no additional funding is requested.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
the Town Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with NOVEC in the amount of
$192,251.47 for the installation of streetlights on the Sycolin Road Phase IV Widening project.
