A Resolution Approving the Agreement Between the Johnson County Board of
Supervisors, A Municipal Corporation, and the City of Tiffin, Iowa, A Municipal
Corporation, for the Purpose of Law Enforcement Protection for the City of Tiffin, Iowa
For Fiscal Year Beginning July1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
WHEREAS, the City of Tiffin desires to have Johnson County, Iowa provide it with law enforcement

rotection, and
WHEREAS, Johnson County, Iowa is willing to provide said law enforcement protection to the City of
Tiffin, Iowa upon terms and conditions hereinafter set forth; by use of the Johnson County Sheriff's
Department. "
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements
hereinafter set forth, the parties hereto, legally intending to be bound hereby, do covenant and agree
for themselves and their respective successors and assigns.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Sheriff's Department will patrol and perform other associated law
enforcement functions in and for the City of Tiffin, Iowa totaling approximately 25.75 hours per week
at the rate of $35.00 per hour, to be paid in equal monthly installments of $3,905.42 per month for a
total of $46,865.04 annual.
On the 8th day of June, 2011, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa Councilperson
Chris Ball introduced a Resolution 2011 -22 Approving the Agreement Between the Johnson
County Board of Supervisors, A Municipal Corporation, and the City of Tiffin, Iowa, A
Municipal Corporation, for the Purpose of. Law Enforcement Protection for the City of Tiffin,
Iowa For Fiscal Year Beginning July1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. and made a motion for
approval. The motion was seconded by Councilperson Travis Weipert.
Ayes: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mark Petersen, Travis Weipert.
Nay:None
Absent: Mike Gericke
WHEREUPON, with four votes for approval, Mayor Phillips declared that Resolution 2011-22 be
adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
PASSED, AND APPROVED THIS 8T" DAY OF June 2011.
