INITIATING AMENDMENT OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE TO PERMIT SUBDIVISION
OF EXISTING TRACTS CONTAINING MORE THAN ONE DWELLING
RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
An amendment of the Leesburg Zoning Ordinance is initiated to permit sub-
division of existing tracts containing more than one dwelling. The Planning Com-
mission shall consider provisions permitting the creation of lots not meeting
minimum area requirements provided there are two existing structures on a single
tract and that lots created thereby are generally in conformance with lots in
the neighborhood. The Planning Commission shall further conduct a public hear-
ing on the proposed amendment and make a recommendation to the council as pro-
vided by law.
