A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYWNOOD
AMENDING THE LYNWOOD MASTER FEE SCHEDULE TO REFLECT CODE
ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION FEES
WHEREAS, the City Council recently established the Quality of Life
Department in the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, upon establishment of the Quality of Life Department, one of
the components of this department is the Code Enforcement Division; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood is in the process of
establishing an Administrative Citation Program for the Quality of Life Services
Department in the form of a new administrative citation ordinance; and
WHEREAS, this new ordinance, upon its effective date will put into place
a necessary and effective tool by authorizing Code Enforcement Officers to issue
administrative citations and impose fees to encourage compliance with the day to
day operations in a determined effort to maintain the Quality of Life in the City of
Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code 66016, the specific fees to be
charged for services must be adopted by City Council resolution or ordinance,
after providing notice and holding a public hearing; and
WHEREAS, all requirements of California Government Code 66016-
66018are hereby found to have been complied with.
_ ~ NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby find,
order, and resolve as follows:
~- SECTION 1. That the City Council approve and adopt the amendment to
the City of Lynwood's Master Fee Schedule to reflect the establishment of
Administrative Citations in the Quality of Life Department, Code Enforcement
Division, attached hereto as Exhibit 1.
SECTION 2. That this resolution shall become effective immediately upon
the 31St day after date that the City Council adopts the administrative citation
ordinance referenced above.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 4t" day of March, 2008.
