RESIDENT DIES AT HOME SUDDENLY
CLYM Alexander Parks, 73, of McCall, long-time
resident of Valley County, died unexy)ectedly May 12 at
his home.
Mr. Parks was born Feb.5, iv', rut Elkin, N.C. 7e
was married in 1902.in State Road, N.V. to Betty Florence
Wilmoth, and the couple moved to McCall in 1913. He was
employed by Brown's Tie & Lbr. Co. from 1916 until he re-
tired in 1950.
Tie was a member of the Baptist Church..
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons; Homer
W. Parks of McCall and Carmel Parks of Bpise, one daughter,
Mrs. Ethel Hagebak of Huntley, Minn. a sister Mrs. Mamie
Haynes of Richmond, Va. ar.d eight grandchildren nd two
great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Beatty chapel et
Emmett Saturday, with Rev. Bessie Turner in charge. A
large number of friends from McCall attended.
Interment was at the Emmett cemetery.
MRS. BETTY PARKS
Mrs. Betty Florence Parks, 73, of McCall a resident of
McCall since 1913 died Thursday af-rr Jong illness.
Mrs. Parks was horn Feb. 132_ 1883 at Elkin, N.C. and
was married to Clyde A. Parks July 8, 1900 in Raleigh N.C.
Mr. Parks died May 12, 1954.
She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons; H.W. Parks of McCall and Carmel
P. Parks of Boise A daughter Mrs. Ethel Hagebak of Huntley, Minn.
10 brothers and sisters all in North Carolina, -lnd seven grand-
children and four great grandchildren.
Services were conducted at Beatty Chapel Monday at 2 p.m.
Interment was at Riverside.
