A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL
SYNCHRONIZATION PROGRAM AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD AND THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
~-- WHEREAS, Traffic Signal Synchronization Program (TSSP) project is
designed to increase traffic mobility and relieve existing traffic congestion; and
WHEREAS, this new service is of regional and local benefit to commuters;
and
WHEREAS, signal coordination has been completed along three arterials
in the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, a cooperative agreement is needed to formalize maintenance
responsibilities of intersections that are part of the TSSP projects.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby
find, proclaim, order and resolve as follows:
Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute the Traffic
Signal Synchronization Program Cooperative Agreement between the City of
Lynwood and the County of Los Angeles in a form to be approved by the City
Attorney.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
