BE IT ORDAINID BY THE CD\1ERNDI; IOJY OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS:
SOCTICN 1. UNLAWFUL P1\RKDI;.
It is unlawful, except when necessary to avoid conflict with other
traffic or in obedience to traffic regulations or the direction of traffic
control devices or a police officer, for any person or operator to park a
truck with a manufactures' rated capacity of over 18,000 Ibs , or a
bus, truck tractor, road tractor, farm tractor, trailer or semi-trailer on
any street in a residential district, as herein defined, for longer than
~ hours; except that parking longer than -L hours is permitted when
necessary for the loading and unloading of merchandise and a permit issued
by the City Clerk is in the possession of the operator or in the vehicle at
the time the vehicle is parked over 4 hours. These permits shall be
issued for each instance overtime parking is necessary. The City Clerk
shall collect a fee of two dollars ($ 2.00 ) for each permit issued.
SECTION 2. RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT.
For this purpose of this Ordinance, "Residential District" means the
territory contiguous to and including a street not comprising a business
district when the property on such street for a distance of three hundred
feet or more is in the main improved with residence or residences and
buildings used for business.
SOCTICN 3.
PEW\LTY .
Any person, upon conviction of violating this Ordinance shall be fined
in a sum of not to exceed Three Hundred Dollars ($300.00).

EFI?OCTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall be effective upon it's publication in the
official city newspaper.
