A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ADDITION OF A LIQUOR PERMIT TO THE
ALCOHOL PERMIT FOR KUM & GO STORE # 137 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
OF TIFFIN, IOWA AT 101 VILLAGE DR. EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011.
Whereas, House File 617 Signed by Governor on March 30, 2011, now allows Class E liquor control
licenses to be issued for premises where gasoline is sold', such as convenience stores. The Bill
eliminates the requirement that convenience stores that sell gasoline have a separate walled-off room
for liquor sales becomes effective July 1, 2011. Sales are for off premise consumption.
Whereas, KUM & GO STORE # 137, now carries an Alcohol Permit for- Class C Beer, Class B Wine
(Carryout Wine) and Sunday Sales. Kum & Go has now applied for application for the Class E Liquor
Sales.
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa has reviewed and will determine the addition of a
Liquor Permit to the current Alcohol License requested by the business establishment known as
"Kum & Go Store #137" located within the°city limits of Tiffin, Iowa.
Whereas, the City Council has not discovered any reason to deny the addition of the Liquor Permit to
the Alcohol Permit for "Kum & Go Store #137". City Council directs the City Clerk to submit for local
authority, approval of permit to the State of Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division.
On the 11th day of May 2011, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa.
Councilperson Travis Weipert made a motion for Resolution 2011-17 A RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE ADDITION OF A LIQUOR PERMIT TO THE ALCOHOL LICENSE FOR KUM &
GO STORE # 137 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA AT 101 VILLAGE DR.
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011. Seconded by Council person Mike Gericke.
Ayes: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mike Gericke, Mark Petersen, Travis Weipert

Absent: None
WHEREUPON, with Five votes for approval, Mayor Royce Phillips declared that the Resolution
2011-17 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ADDITION OF A LIQUOR PERMIT TO THE
ALCOHOL LICENSE FOR KUM & GO STORE # 137 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF
TIFFIN, IOWA AT 101 VILLAGE DR. EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011 be adopted and signified his
approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
