Covington Gardens Subdivision Section Three
Final Plat
At its meeting of Thursday, March 9, 2000 the Planning and Zoning Commission heard your
request for approval of the final plat of Covington Gardens Section Three.
The Commission referred the request to the City Council with their recommendation to approve
with the following conditions:
1. Reserve Tract A must be corrected to indicate the tract is to be dedicated to the City of
Jefferson for park purposes, access to the Cole County Park and general utility purposes.
2. The proposed grass swale that will drain into the existing area inlet built during
construction of Section Two should be examined, to determine if at the grade proposed,
erosion will be a concern.
3. Approval of the improvement plans from the Department of Public Works.
The first reading of the bill to accept this final plat could be scheduled for the April 17, 2000 City
Council meeting subject to the signed mylars being received and approved by the Department of Planning
and Code Enforcement and the Department of Public Works by April 3, 2000. The second reading and
vote of the City Council will then be scheduled for May 1, 2000. Only after approval from the City Council
may the plat be recorded and lots sold in Section Three.
