THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ENDORSING
THE STATE LEGISLATIVE PRCG^,AM i"T
CONNECTION WITH THE 'MOTOR VE.i7.Ci;E
AIR POLLUTION CONTROL ACT" ENACTED
BY CONGRESS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES RESOLVE:
WHEREAS, programs for the control of air pollution
have been adopted by the Los Angeles County Board of Super-
visors, the State Motor Vehicle Pollution Control Board and
the Southern California Air Pollution Coordinating Council,
which the Governor of the State of California has agreed to
place on his call for the forthcoming special session of the
Legislature; and
WHEREAS, said legislation is necessary for the con-
trol of the emission of pollutants from motor vehicles in the
State of California; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council
of the City of Temple City, that said Council goes on record
as strongly urging the passage of appropriate legislation for
the control of air pollution from motor vehicles in support
of the national "Motor Vehicle Air Pollution Control Act"
for the protection of the health, welfare and safety of the
citizens of the State of California; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is
hereby authorized and instru, :f :ed to forward certified copies
of this :resolution to the office of the Governor and members
of the State Legislature.
The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.
