MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR POLICE OVER-TIME
WHEREAS, Leesburg has recently experienced two fatal accidents where the use
of alcohol is alledged a contributing factor; and
WHEREAS, this Council desires to explore alternatives which will effectively
reduce the amount of driving while intoxicated in Leesburg:
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The chief of police is directed to establish on a trial basis
and to evaluate a DWI Program in conjunction with the Loudoun County Sheriff's
Department, State Police and commonwealth's Attorney.
SECTION II. An appropriation is made from the General Fund to Account
No. 3101.102, Police Over-Time, in the amount of $1,500.00 for fiscal year 1985.
