A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARSON, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE
CLASSIFICATION PLAN, RESOLUTION NO. 77-111, BY
ADOPTING NEW AND/OR REVISED CLASSIFICATION
SPECIFICATIONS AND SALARY RANGES
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources is authorized and directed under
provisions of Sections 2797.1 and 2797.3 of the Carson Municipal Code to prepare and
recommend position classification and compensation plans, after consultation with the
affected Directors, which becomes effective upon approval by the City Council.
WHEREAS, Rule III of the City of Carson Personnel Rules provides that modification to
the classification plan, embodied in Resolution No. 77-111, shall be made only after the
Director of Human Resources consults with the affected Directors and affected recognized
employee organizations.
WHEREAS, the Acting Human Resources Officer, acting in lieu of the Director of
Human Resources, has consulted with the affected parties concerning this classification.
Section 1. The above recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. The class specification for Director of Human Resources and Risk
Management at Salary Range 181 — $11,432 — $14,589, Director of Public Works at Salary
Z�
Range 181 — $11,432 — $14,589, Director of Community Development at Salary Range 181 —
$11,432 — $14,589, Director of Finance at Salary Range 181 — $11,432 — $14,589 and City
Controller at Salary Range 172 — $9,607 — $12,260 assigned to the Unclassified Management

Employee group, are hereby adopted.
Section 3. The class specification for Water Quality Administrator at Salary Range
156 — $6,474 — $8,263 and Public Information Administrator at Salary Range 156 — $6,474 —
$8,263 assigned to the Carson Professional and Supervisors Association (CPSA), are hereby
adopted.
Section 4. The class specification for Principal Civil Enoineer/City Engineer at
Z=
Salary Range 172 — $9,607 — $12,260 assigned to the Association of Management Employees
(AME), is hereby adopted.
