A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT.AND APPROVE THE SITE PLAN FOR THE DEPOT TIFFIN
RECONSTRUCTION PLAN`WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA
WHEREAS, Thomas Martin, L.L. C., The Depot Tiffin; has submitted a site plan for a
reconstruction plan of The Depot Tiffin located at the re -zoned lots 221 W, Marengo Rd and 316
College St. to C2 -B Zoning.
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed the site plan and made favorable
recommendation contingent upon the comments by the City Engineer and.Fire Chief and that the two
lots are legally tied as one lot to meet the C2 -B zoning minimum lot requirements.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa has reviewed the site plan and the recommendations
made by the Planning and Zoning Commission. 4
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council accepts and approves the site plan with
the following comments: Approval'contingent with comments made by the City Engineer, Fire Chief
and Public Works.
NOWTHEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Depot.Tiffin will be allowed to obtain all buildingpermits
as required by ordinance for the reconstruction and access permits as allowed by the, Iowa
Department of Transportation for access from US Hwy.6:,
On this 13th day of April 2011, at a regular meeting of the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa Council, person
Chris Ball introduced Resolution 2011-13 A RESOLUTION TO`ACCEPT AND APPROVE THE SITE

TIFFIN, IOWA and made a motion for approval: ,The motion was seconded by Council person Travis
Weipert.

WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA be adopted and signified his approval of the
same by'affixing his signature thereto.'-

AWARD CONTRACT FOR MOWING CONTRACT FOR PARK AREAS AND CITY
BEAUTIFICATION AREAS WITH THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA"'
WHEREAS: on THE 30TH OF March 2011', proposals were ;reviewed for bids for the renewal
of the Mowing contract for the'park areas and the city beautification areas within the limits of the
City of Tiffin, Iowa.
WHEREAS, five bids were submitted for various areas designated by the Public Works _.
department for the overall neat and trimmed appearance of the city.
WHEREAS, the low bid was submitted by Grace` Excavation based on the proposals
detailed by the Public Works Department.
THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED, BY*the City.Council of Tiffin, Iowa4to accept the lowest and
most responsible.bid and award the contract for a period of two years, to begin as soon as
possible for the mowing after notice of award, contract and to proceed, have been duly executed
by the Mayor and City Clerk. Contractor will provide Certificate of Insurance and will proceed
' with proposed work within the guidelines set forth in the proposal packet. Failure to proceed as
scheduled will cause contract to be forfeited and awarded to another. contractor.
