HomeMy Public PortalAboutMinutes - 10/14/2008 The Wellsburg City Council met in special session October 14, 2008 with Mayor Fox presiding and all Council Members present. Also attending were Matt Garber, Clapsaddle Garber; Pat
and Mindy Dolan; and Chad Demmer and Mark Onken, Eastern Iowa Concrete.
Discussion regarding the delays in completing the project and the request for an extension. Chad Demmer and Mark Onken presented information regarding the concrete portion of the construction.
They stated they were delayed by the conditions due to excess rain.
Pat Dolan indicated that all damage claims due to the cut tile line would be turned in to their insurance company.
After further discussion a motion was made by Buseman, second by Lindaman to assess liquidated damages for 16 days at $500.00 per day. Additionally Clapsaddle Garber requested $8,000.00
for services above the initial contract amount. All ayes, carried.
Motion by Lindaman second by Van Hauen to adjourn. All ayes, carried.
