AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE 1982 3-2 SUPPLEMENT
TO ORDINANCE NO. 72-1980 OTHERWISE KNOWN AS
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND,
INDIANA AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Company of Cincinnati, Ohio
has completed the second annual supplement to the
codified ordinances of the City of Richmond, Indiana;
and
WHEREAS, such annual supplement contains all amendments and
supplements in accordance with Ordinance No. 72-1980
enacted on September 2, 1980 through and the
inclusion of Ordinance No. 86-1981; and
WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana to accept such supplement to
its codified ordinances; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary in order to provide for the
immediate preservation of the health, safety and
welfare of the City of Richmond, Indiana that
Ordinance No. 54-1981, Sewage and Wastewater Treat-
ment, and Ordinance No. 49-1981, User Charges, be
effective, the Common Council finds that an emer-
gency exists in regard to the supplement to the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
and that it is advisable to declare this ordinance
to be an emergency measure and to take effect immedi-
ately upon its adoption.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana, that:
SECTION 1. The enactment of new sections 50.66, 50.67,
50.74, 50.75, 50.99, 31.40, 50.01-50.11, 50.20-50.59, 50.98,
50.99, 154.10, 154.11, 70.03, Ch. 31, App. B, and 33.07, as
submitted by American Legal Publishing Company of Cincinnati,
Ohio are incorporated herein by reference as if fully written.
SECTION 2. The 1982 S-2 Supplement to the City of
Richmond's Code of Ordinances (Ordinance No. 72-1980) as reviewed
and approved by the Common Council is hereby adopted.
SECTION 3. For the reasons set forth in the preamble
hereof, this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure and shall take effect and be in full force from and
after its adoption and due authentication by the President of
the Common Council, the Clerk of the City of Richmond and the
Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
