Re: Ordinance No. 34-1982
Plan Commission Case PDP-82-2
Dear Mr. Mills, Members of Common Council & Mrs. Trimble:
The Richmond City Plan Commission conducted a public hearing
on Tuesday, September 28, 1982, on the petition of the Rich-
mond Redevelopment Commission requesting to vacate all public
ways located in an area bounded by the south service drive,
South 6th Street, South "A" Street and South 5th Street.
The Plan Commission determined the public ways are no longer
needed for the growth of the City and the requested vacation
would facilitate the sale of this property and accommodate
its proposed future development.
Therefore, the Plan Commission voted six (6) to zero (0) to
recommend the vacation be granted subject to easements being
reserved for all existing utilities.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert B. Goodwin
Executive Secretary
City Plan Commission
