HomeMy Public PortalAbout035-1982 - Appropriation - From Local Road and StreetAPPROPRIATION ORDINANCE NO. 35-1982 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE FROM THE LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND. WiiEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Goverment than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIaMND, INDIANA: SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its institutions for the year ending December 31, 1982, the following amount of money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the find named and for the purposes specified. Said sum being subject to the law governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures to be made during the year unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the Local Road and Street Fund the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergency hereby declared to exist: LOCAL ROAD AND STREET FUND AMOUNT AMOUNT REQUESTED APPROPRIATED $100,000. $100,000. These funds are to be appropriated for the following: Streets, Curbs, Alleys & Sidewalks (2330) SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations. The proof of publication and posting of notices were examined and found to be correct and in order. Councilman Welch moved the proof of publication and posting of notices be received and ordered filed, seconded by Councilman Parker , and on voice vote the motion was carried. The Clerk read on second reading Ordinance No. 35-1982 President Mills announced Ordinance No. 35-1982 is on pu lic hearing.
