Free Wireless Router Checks Offered
Leesburg, VA (February 2, 2011) – Are you and your family "surfing" the Internet at home over
a wireless connection? Do you know if your wireless device is secure? If not, it's like leaving
the front door of your house open for anyone to come in and steal your important information!
On Saturday, February 5, 2011, please join the Leesburg Police Department Crime Prevention
Unit and the Leesburg Technology and Communications Commission at a Cybersecurity Forum
at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center from 12 noon to 5 p.m. During the Forum, the Geek Squad
from Best Buy will be conducting FREE security checks for anyone who brings in a router or
other wireless device.
In addition to the wireless router security checks, two Cybersecurity classes will be offered:
• 1:00 p.m. – Internet safety for parents
• 3:00 p.m. – Best practices cybersecurity tips for businesses and families.
