A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF
UNCOLLECTIBLE UTILITY BAD DEBT
WHEREAS: The Utility Department needs authorization to write-off uncollectible bad debt,
WHEREAS: Repeated efforts have been attempted by the Utility. Department to contact
account holders of the delinquent accounts, ,
WHEREAS: No efforts have been made to make payments on outstanding delinquent
accounts,
WHEREAS: and it has been determined by the Utility Department that accounts can not be
set up to certify to Johnson County, Iowa for collection against property as
allowed by law,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CODUNCIL OF TIFFIN, IOWA:
to authorize Treasurer to write-off'in the amount of 7,300.07 of uncollectible
bad debt.
Council person Travis Weipert introduced Resolution 2011-07 A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING THE WRITE-OFF OF UNCOLLECTIBLE UTILITY BAD DEBT and made
motion for approval and seconded by Council person Chris Ball

Nay: None
Absent: Mike Gericke
Four Council members voted and approved Resolution 2011 - 07, Mayor Phillips affirms by his
signature the approval of Resolution 2011-07 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WRITE -'OFF
OF UNCOLLECTIBLE UTILITY BAD DEBT.
Approved this 9th day of February 2011 By Order of the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa.
